I'm Ashley Esposito, known affectionately as Ash among friends. I am a mom, community organizer, and an artist creating Afro-Indigenous art. I embrace and infuse my heritage into every facet of my life journey. I spent much of my formative years immersed in Southern Arizona's rich landscapes. Now my family and I call Baltimore home.
Frequently, I'm asked about the origin of the name "Little Box of Random." Conventional wisdom often advises artists to specialize and master a single craft. However, my journey has been quite the opposite—I've cultivated various skills thanks to my myriad of interests. I've always been that person who excitedly announces, "You know, another one of those random things I do!" I am a living embodiment of a "Little Box of Random" interests and talents. This diverse blend of passions and proficiencies has shaped me into a well-rounded artist.
While my lens captures moments as a photographer, my artistry transcends boundaries. I am a true multidisciplinary artist, exploring diverse mediums to express my vision. In my world, painting becomes a vibrant narrative, crafting transforms into sculptural poetry, gardening is an art form, and drawing unveils intricate tales. Additionally, I weave visual stories through graphic design, creating striking narratives that resonate with viewers. Any form of artistic expression is a source of pure joy and healing for me. I embrace the randomness of life's artistic tapestry and revel in its endless possibilities.
